Car Decor

I finally got around to using the Home Decor Vinyl I bought a while ago. Only I didn't use it in my home. Here is one of the larger Flourishes on the back side window of my car. Now my car will be a little more distinguishable. I kinda like it. What do you think?

I did get a "B" and the Together Forever Circle Frame but can't put it on our front door until we take the screen out and put the glass panel back in. Maybe another month or so.

Flower Power

This card was made with the New Simply Sent Card Elements Kit and the Wow Flowers stamp set. I love the colors. It's basically one of the designs they give you but I omitted the staples and changed the button on the lower flower to a little ribbon knot. It's going to a friend who's birthday is while I'm away. Hopefully she'll be surprised.
Oh! BTW - the kit says it makes 9 cards but it looks like there's extra of almost everything to make even more as well as to change things up. Fun!

Vacation and Stampers 6 Club

Finally! I've waited almost all summer to hit the beach. So if you need anything, or have any questions, I'm not ignoring you - just on vacation and will get back to you next week. : )

While I'm gone I have some posts waiting for you (if I did it right) and hoping to fill my Stampers 6 Club. Let me know if you're interested -it's an awesome deal!

What is a Stamper's 6 Club?
Think of the Stamper's 6 Club as a way to get everything from your Stampin' Up! Wish List slowly and affordably - and some of it even for free!

What do I have to do?
Call or e-mail me with a Stampin' Up! order totaling $25 or more once a month for just 6 months! There is no club fee, the money that you spend is only on Stampin' Up! Product.

How does it work?
There will be 6 people in the club and the club will last for 6 months. Since there are 6 people spending at least $25, every club order is guaranteed to total $150 - the minimum order amount needed to earn free stamp sets and products from Stampin' Up! Since there are 6 people and 6 months, this allows each of the club members to take a turn picking out free product.

So it lasts for 6 months, but from when to when?
We will start from August 2008 to January 2009 - the start of another brand new catalog!

How and when do I get orders to you?
You can call or e-mail me with your order and pay by Money Order, Check or Credit Card. The orders/payments are due on the 20th of every month. (except for Aug. b/c I'll be on vacation and the open house will now be on the 29th)

Do I have to attend anything or host a workshop?
No! You are under no obligation to attend or host anything! Of course, you can if you want to!

What are some other club benefits? If the FREE Hostess Exclusive Stamp Sets and FREE Shopping Dollars aren't enough for you, there are some other club benefits as well. Check them out:
  • FREE Catalog!!!! The Fall-Winter 2008 Collection
  • Receive FREE Mini Catalogs directly in the mail from Stampin' Up!
  • During "your" month, you can boost your free stuff with additional orders from friends and family
  • All club members will have the option of coming to stamp at my house at a "Club night" and use my stamps & ink.
  • Special Club member gifts made by me!

How can I join? Just e-mail me or call me at 610.275.8150!

Scalloped Thanks

Here's another great use for that scallop punch - scalloped edged rectangles (or squares)! The rest of the cards consists of Baroque Motifs in Elegant Eggplant and the flower in Baja Breeze is rock n rolled in the Eggplant. All layers are sponged in the Eggplant as well. It doesn't show up too well, but I oulined the thin lines, "thanks" (from Much Appreciated) and the middle of the flowers with a glitter pen.
I was so tempted by those Nestabilities, but now I can save some money and use my new punch. Mary Jo Albright has an awesome write up on it but I thought I'd add another picture because at first I didn't get it.

Start by punching scallops on one side.

Then turn your paper and place the last scallop so that it lines up inside the punch. You will not be placing the paper all the way in. There will only be enough of an edge to make the punch work. Continue as long as you'd like then repeat for other corners. Yay!

It's Here!

The New SU! Fall/Winter '08 - '09 Idea Book and Catalog officially starts today! You can view it online Here, the sidebar, or contact me to get a copy. Hostesses and Stamp Club members get them for free. I think they did a fabulous job. Love the full color samples on every page and there's now Technique pages between the sections. There's more variety of styles this time, Die Cut sets, more background stamps, Five new Punches, and the new DSP papers are so yummy! The new In Colors are very rich and vibrant, which I like. What I tend to look for first is the Christmas sets. This is the first year there are several I want. I really like the "I Wish" Scrappin' Kit too - much better than last years (IMO). To top it all off, there's a 15% Off Sale on 10 New Sets!! Click Here to see the flyer. The silhouettes sets are gorgeous and I already have a class planned for them on Sept. 19th. I've been trying to narrow down my order the last few days but it's hard! I know once I see what other people get and their beautiful projects, I'll want even more. If you're in my area, I'd love for you stop in at my Open House on the 29th to check things out!

I joined a swap and below are 2 cards I came up with for it. They're basically the same layout, just different format. They both use 1 1/4" circle punch, 1 3/8" circle punch, scallop punch, brad, and Wow Flowers stamp set. The First one uses Pacific Point CS and ink, Kiwi Kiss CS and ink, and Tangerine Tango ink. The Second uses Pink Pirouette CS and ink, Baja Breeze CS and ink and white gel pen. I actually just added the dots. What do you think - too busy?
Enjoy - and let me know if I can help you get your hands on anything! ( in the catalog that is : ) )

OK, trying this again. Here's the card I made for my son's 8th bday. I've tried the last 2 days to post, but kept getting errors. Hopefully it's all worked out now. The card is pretty simple. For the "waves", I just ripped brilliant blue and bashful blue and then ripped white for the crest. The little penguin is from Wild about You on dimensionals and is actually a lot darker in person. The surfboard was just handrawn and cut out of real red and then I markered in a design. My "sun" is done with the scallop punch (see older post) with an "8" from a cuttlebug die.
Guess what!! My box of the New SU! Fall/Winter Catalogs have arrived! I love so many things already. My budget will be blown for sure. I was actually at the CKC convention in Valley Forge this weekend and didn't spend much because there just wasn't that much that excited me. The new SU! catty excites me! Can you believe that? Hopefully next year I'll be able to go to SU!'s convention.

Anyway, I'll be back soon to tell you about that fabulous new catalog.
