Well, I'm heading off to the beach tomorrow, so I thought I'd leave you with something before I go. Here is a swap I made using the New Season of Joy set from the new SU! Mini. Purely Pomegranate and Wild Wasabi CS - can you tell I'm diggin' these colors? Wild Wasabi double stitched ribbon. I embossed the image by stamping in Versamark first, then the Purely Pomegranate and used the Clear Embossing Powder. The flowers in the background are in PP too. Now hopefully I'll get inspired to make the rest of my Christmas cards before Dec. 22nd!

This is one of my favorite cards from my last Stamp Camp. We made 6 different designs from the Fun and Fast notes. This also uses some of the Cutie Pie Designer Paper that is so adorable! Colors are So Saffron, Purely Pomegranate, and Certainly Celery. I stamped the bird in Black Staz On and markered in blue, saffron and celery. There are no markers for the In Colors so I used my blender pen and picked up some PP ink for the middle of the flower. I punched him out using the Marvy Mega circle punch and layered on the Marvy Giga Scalloped Punch. Added some Moss ribbon with a SS yellow brad. Ain't it sweet?

Here's a cute little tote that'll hold those 3x3 notes. I'm offering to make one for anyone who takes advantage of the Three for You Punch Box Special this month. (You get 30 notes and envelopes free!) It's actually pretty easy to make. You'll need a 7 1/2 X 5 1/2 sheet of CS. Score an inch on the long sides and 3 inches on the short ones. Make a slit on 2 small outside scores, fold and assemble with choice of adhesive. Decorate as you wish. I added a 2 x 3" piece of white CS stamped with a design from Priceless in Creamy Caramel and about 10" of the Purely Pomegranate double stitched ribbon. To finish off, I stamped the flower from Priceless in PP, punched it out of the 1 1/4" circle, layered it on a kraft 1 3/8" circle, added a brad in the center and layered that on a PP Scallop Circle.

Ever since I saw Laurie Schmidlin's Soft Sky and White card on SCS I have been wanting to copy it. Her's is a little bigger so I had to change it a little to conform to the regular 5 1/2 X 4 1/4" card size, but same basic idea. I couldn't seem to get a picture good enough to do this card justice, but this is the best of the bunch. I used the Three for You punch box stamps for the flowers on the background and little circle, and the polka dot background on the big circle. White gel pen in the middle of the punched out flowers, and SU!'s new white taffeta ribbon. Scalloped the right edge using the corner rounder and used my new Marvy Mega and Giga punches for the big and scalloped circles. I paper pierced the scalloped and small blue circles. I just love the soft look of this but couldn't decide what saying to put on it so I went with joy from small script since I was so happy to have completed it. Now I'll have to make another since I don't think I can part with this one. : )

Beate's Sketch challenge

I found this Sketch challenge on Beate from SCS's blog and decided to try it. Take an 8 1/2 X 5 1/2" piece of cs and score at 5 1/2" and 8 1/8". Fold back the last score and hold back with two ribbons. Here's what I used: Petals and Pailsey Stamp Set, Petals wheel, Green Galore , Tempting Turquoise and So Saffron ink, and Turquoise ribbon on USwhite and Gable Green CS. My picture didn't come out quite as bright as it is IRL and don't know if you can tell that I sponged the 2 white pieces, but you get the jist of it. Check out her site and what other people did with the same idea. http://beate.blogs.splitcoaststampers.com/2007/08/04/weekend-sketch-challenge-13/

Tent card

This was a challenge at SCS. I like this layout. It's a 4.25" square card base with a topper that extends up to 5.5" so that it still fits standard card size.
There was another card that used some dp I didn't have, but loved the colors together so I "made" my own. I started with Elegant Eggplant for card base. Then I scalloped a piece of Groovy Guava with a corner rounder and then punched 1/8" hole in the centers. On top of that is white cs with marker lines of barely banana, brilliant blue and elegant eggplant. Since there's no markers for the new "In colors", I added a few thin strips of Purely Pomegranate and Groovy Guava from scraps. I tied an Apricot ribbon around where they meet. For the topper, I used the Marvy Giga Scalloped Punch and Mega Circle Punch in Groovy Guava and Barely Banana. Punched 1/16" holes in those scallop centers. Stamped the big flower from Looks Like Spring on white cs in Groovy Guava and then rolled edges in Purely Pomegranate. Then I cut it out. Oh, how I wish there was a punch for this flower! : ) Center was too plain so I added a 1/2" circle sponged in Elegant Eggplant (so that it wasn't too dark) and attached with a Soft Subtles yellow brad. Adhered flower with dimentional and finished! I really like these colors together and wouldn't normally think of this combo. What do you think?
