My favorite stampin' time of the year is here - Sale A Bration! I love getting stuff for free and this year you can get stamp sets, ribbon or designer paper with every $50 of merchandise ordered. Click HERE to check out the brochure or on the left side of my blog. It's also an awesome time to sign up because not only do you get to pick an extra free set up to $47.95, but the starter kit is 15% off! That's $335 worth of product for only $169. Some people sign up just to get the deal and drop, some like the discount and monthly magazine and some people sign up to make some money doing what they love. Either way, it's alot of fun and there's no obligation. Please feel free to ask if you'd like more information. I'd love for you to join me! I even offer a free Stamp Camp just for you to welcome you aboard!

Accordion Flower

Isn't this pretty? The flower accordion idea came from the upcoming Sale A Bration Mini. I've seen these done with ribbon too and they are really pretty, but I'm not a sewer, so the paper version works for me! The edges of my flower were scalloped with our punch to give more of a flower feel. We will be making some of these flowers in my February Stamp Camp on the 20th.
I also used the scallop border punch for the white frame. The DSP is from the Bella Rose collection and colors are Riding Hood Red, Pink Pirouette, and Kiwi Kiss. I hand cut the leaves and scored down the middle for a vein, added a 3/4" sponged circle for the flower middle along with a flower brad that I put a little Crystal Effects on and a touch of RHR reinker- and can't forget the Satin Kiwi ribbon - love it!

On a side note, there's something wrong with my wrist - a little swollen and a small bump right where you bend. Not sure what it is yet, but it bothers me, so I'm not creating as much as I'd like. Send me some positive stamping vibes and hopefully it'll be better soon! Thanks!

Sneak Peeks

Here are two more samples from my day of stamping last week. They are both sneak peeks at what's coming up in the new catalog. New DSP as well as stamp sets. The big flower is actually embossed in white, then a ring of chunky glitter and a flower brad in the middle. (Much prettier IRL) The butterfly is embossed on cs vellum and attached with glue dots -also much prettier in person. Rumor has it that we're getting a butterfly die. I hope it's the one on our current front cover - that was kind of a tease, don't you think? Well, 2 short weeks and we'll know!

Happy New Year!

Wow - another year over. I hope everyone has a wonderful 2009!

I actually got to participate in 2 challenges at SCS yesterday and thought I'd share one of them with you here. It was called "Black Tie" and you were just supposed to use black and white with a splash of gold or silver. I used the Fiskars punch that also embosses (sorry I don't know the name of it), the scallop punch with Kind Thoughts stamp and a 2" circle punch of silver cs. The only ink is Craft White and the ribbon is white taffeta.

Have a Happy Stampin' New Year!
