Just got my Preview items today and had to make something. This Bella Rose DSP is so pretty. I used 2 designs on the new Kiwi Kiss CS. Both the ric-rak in Riding Hood Red through the middle and the sentiment were done using the new Scallop Edge Punch - a Must Have!! I only played with it a little and look what I did. I sponged the edges of the sentiment (Wow Flowers) with Pink Pirouette and added little rhinestone brads in green that matched great. The new In Colors are very rich and I like them already! I'm also trying a new photo editor - http://www.picnik.com/ It's free, so if you want to play with your photos, try it out. This try isn't the best, but I'm so tired, it'll have to do for now. I wanted to post this before my company arrives Friday. Hopefully I'll get to play more tomorow and post again before the weekend.

Swap Card

Here's my swap I've been working on for the girls on my team that are not going to convention. What do you think? I used the Fresh Cuts set with Versamark and Pastels on W White and layered it on Garden Green with an Apricot Ribbon. Top and bottom are in Garden Green as well.

There's a lot going on with Stampin' Up! Next week is the convention where they usually make the big announcements. We've gotten a few teasers, like on line ordering, but I think I'll wait to give you all the details, since I'm sure there will be more coming.

Saying goodbye to one of my favorites on the Retiring list. Well, I plan on keeping this one, but you know what I mean. Wild Rose makes wonderful cards very quickly with it's big rose and sweet rosebud. The Wild Wasabi and Not quite Navy one is from my last stamp camp and the Cranberry/Old Olive one is one I unfortunately had to make for a friend. I made them both sympathy cards, but they would also work well for birthday, mother's day, get well, etc. The 2 step stamping gives them great detail. I did use that stamp a ma jig to help line them up. I also used some hodgepodge hardware and double stitched WW grosgrain ribbon on the first, which are both retiring as well. Hurry up and order these all before they're gone!!

On a totally different note:

Look at what my husband let my son get while they were away!!!!

I noticed mohawks were coming back at the end of the school year (?!), but never thought my son would have one. Ugh! Is this popular anywhere else? I just hate to think how long this will take to grow out. He's still a cutie, but... I don't think my hubby will be taking the kids by himself again for quite some time. : )

Almost forgot these...

I've been meaning to share this adorable invitation I got from my upline for a stamping weekend at her house. She said someone else made them for her and she didn't have instructions - Sorry! The weekend actually got cancelled but I'm hoping she'll reschedule and maybe I can find out if there's a pattern or anything for this. It's the Prints Pack paper, 3 flower punch, white gel pen, taffeta ribbon and rhinestone brad. So clever!

And here's a Name Frame I made for my daughter. Of course it had to have pink and purple - her favorite colors. I love this idea for gifts. I actually have another one I made with our last name hanging above the french doors in the back of my house. I did learn that the letters are easier to with a stamp-a-ma-jig. Why I didn't use that tool long ago, I don't know. This one uses the Flowers for You DSP, Letterpress Alphabet, flower punch and 1/4" circle punch.

And for those of you not on my mailing list, there are some SU! specials and dates you should know about:

**While supplies last, Stampin' Up! is offering it's three Hodgepodge Hardware Kits for only $25.08 ....25% off! You can see them on page 188 of the current Spring and Summer catalog.

**Decor Elements (vinyl words and designs) are now available! See the brochure here.

**August 10th is the LAST day to place orders from the current catalog

** August 11th starts the NEW Fall/Winter Catalog!!!

Demos get to preorder a few things so I'm hoping to have new goodies in my hands in the next week or so.

Happy Stamping!

July already?

Yikes! Where have the days gone? I'll be posting some updates in the next few days, but wanted to quickly share this with you. I was finally able to make this adorable bag in a box from Paula Goff. I love it! We'll be making these at my next stamp camp with varying designer papers plus 4 cards on July 18th. Come join us!
