100th post!
1:21 PM Edit This 9 Comments » Wow - as I went to write this up I realized it will be my 100th post! I have a couple things to share. One being some cards my son made. He had an ear infection and didn't feel well Sunday and Monday so I tried to do things with him that took it off of his mind. He wanted me to post them, so here they are. I didn't help at all. He just asked for some of my supplies and did his own thing. My new stamping buddy!
Next, is a way cute idea I got from Angie Juda. Again, I didn't have all the same supplies, but I'm lovin' this format! You can use a 12 X 12" CS and cut it at 3", which will give you 4 cards. Or, use an 8 1/2 X 11 and get a slightly smaller card. So your measurement will be either 3 X 6 or 3 X 5 1/2". If you place the 1 3/8" Square Punch all the way in, it'll be centered. Here's a pic of my next tip. To get evenly spaced dots or piercing marks, use those plastic canvas sheets! I got mine at Michael's for about 39 cents! I got a circle one too. They have some other shapes as well. For this card I just used the small point of my marker for dots. Did you notice the ribbon too? It's the Pumpkin Pie Striped Grosgrain. It doesn't come with the yellow in it - I just added it with my YoYo Yellow marker! My larger square layer is actually Summer Sun but that marker turned out too dark on the ribbon to match. The orange is from Tart and Tangy and I stamped it in Pumpkin Pie on White and punched it out with the 1 1/4" square punch. I didn't have the saying stamp so I just wrote it on! Cute, huh?
