praying for you...

So, this is why you make sympathy cards ahead of time. It's not easy to get in the mood for this, so I decided to do a challenge to keep my off of the reason behind it. The lillies are made doing the dahlia fold. I used a 1 3/8 circle punch with textured soft Sky cs. Fold the circle in half both ways. Now fold a quarter section in making the bottom petals. Turn it over and fold the sides into the middle. Usually you would make about 8 of these and put them together to form a big flower but I really loved stamps'ncoffee's card on SCS with this idea. The stems and leaves are from Roses In Winter stamped in Mellow Moss and the center of the flowers came from the Pretties Kit, held in there with a mini glue dot. This is on Vanilla cs sponged with Sahara Sand, layered onto Soft Sky sponged with Craft White. Sentiment is from So Many Sayings with the Word Punch and then larger Oval punch. Not to go into too much detail but I'll have more like this to make, unfortunately. My husband's grandfather died and he'll be in VT all week. They have a very large family. One uncle will be in a hurry to get home to his 29 yo daughter, who does not have much time left due to cancer. So, if you're the praying type, please send one up for us. Thanks!
