SAB basket

My original plan for this post was to show you the adorable tin we'll be making at the next stamp camp. However, my camera battery is dead and the charger is nowhere to be found. It's driving me nuts - can't imagine where it could be.
Anyway, this isn't the best picture, but thought I'd share this cute basket we made Friday night. I got the idea and pattern from Julie at Paper Pleasing Designs and modified it a little. The patterned paper and "yummy" stamp are just 2 things you can get for free during Sale a Bration. I paired them with Celery paper and ribbon as well as So Saffron ribbon. Nice and springy! The perfect little something to give to teachers, don'tcha think?

Happy Valentine's Day!
2:28 PM Edit This 3 Comments » Hope you are all having a wonderful day and that there's some sweetness in your weekend. Here's a card I made for my daughter's AWANA pal. She's been really nice and I hope this brightens her day. I used Real Red, Pretty in Pink and White CS, SAB Polka Dot Punches heart stamp with the full heart punch on dimensionals, white taffeta ribbon and the new Eyelet Border. Like it? Come make more cards like this and even more SAB stuff at my SAB Stamp Camp on the 20th! (see side bar)

Looking for Votes...
3:35 PM Edit This 2 Comments »At a trip to scrapbook store last month, the lady there explained about a "Scrap This" contest they have. You pay $3 for a specified set of materials and bring in what you create with it in by the 15th of the following month. It goes on display and the one with the most votes wins a $50 gift certificate to the store! My good friend Karen got a pack for me to work with and this is what I came up with. The pack had sparkly striped paper, chipboard mirror, 1 sparkly brad, metal page turner, a bingo-like board, and about 5 1/2 inches of ribbon. Here's what I did: after removing the number 5 from the bingo board, I placed a picture inside the frame design to cover up the rest (wasn't crazy about that part) and added a choc. chip felt flower with a gold brad I covered in Dazzling Diamonds with Heat N Stick powder. I went around the edges of the mirror in Choc. Chip and folded the ribbon into a bow and held it together with the brad in the pack. The page turner was too bright for me so I just sanded it and it blends in much better now, esp. since I also put another felt flower and sparkly brad in the hole. The letters, corner frames and die for the 5 are from Cuttlebug in Choc. Chip and layered onto Choc. Chip. Oh, I should also mention the striped paper wasn't diagonal - I cut it down to make it that way since my daughter looked like she was in jail or something the other way. So, if you go to Memory Lane in Quakertown, will you vote for me so Karen and I can have a little shopping spree?
