New Technique?

We may have come up with a new technique at my last Stamp Camp! We used the Kind Thoughts small stencil from the Decor Elements line. Since we used Not Quite Navy ink on the blue stencil, it was a little hard to tell which side had ink on it. Well, if you intentionally ink up one side (with sponge or dauber), then turn it over and traditionally stencil, you end up with a cool shadow like this: Isn't that cool looking? Thanks, Karen! This card is just one layer, sponged around the edges. Quick and easy! Think I'll call it Shadow Stenciling - what do you think? Let me know if you try it - I'd love to see what you come up with.

I really left my comment down lower by mistake - but I'll put it here too. Love this idea.

What a clever new technique! And it gives a lot of dimension on a one-layer card. TFS
