Slowly coming back...

I'm finally starting to feel well enough to get the creative juices flowing again. My late night stamping has given way to sleep, but I've really missed not making my little "artworks". I had to play with this Sneak Peek from the upcoming catalog though - Fresh Cuts and the Fresh Cuts Notes. Talk about quick - you could whip up some of these babies no time! I stamped the largest image on the front in Always Artichoke and the small flower in Blush Blossom. I attached a 5 point flower punch to the inside front and then a piece of Blush Blossom to cover the cut out part. On the front I put a white brad through the little flower and adhered it with dimensionals. Tie a ribbon on the side and that's it! I did dye my ribbon though since I didn't have any that matched. Just drug the white grosgrain through my inkpad. Lots of possibilities with this set. I'm sure you'll be seeing it again.

Here's one that I've been wanting to do for a while. I saw KWerner do this ribbon weaving on her blog a while ago and I loved it. Since it's a little thick I thought I'd cut out the front of the card and adhere it to the inside. The ribbon is Soft Sky double stitched and the flower is from the Pretties Kit with a half pearl. "Thank you" is from the Fresh Cuts set embossed in white on Soft Sky CS and the White Taffeta ribbon finishes it off. I almost embossed the front panel with my Cuttlebug but then decided against it. Maybe next time with a replacement for the weaving. What do you think?

Both wonderful cards but I absolutely love the weaving technique you've used on the bottom card. Such an effective idea, I may have to 'borrow' that one! ~x~
